Instantly identify knowledge gaps

Individual Intervention Reports highlight areas of weakness for a specific learner and provide links to relevant intervention resources to address their needs.

Grouped Intervention Reports identify learners with knowledge gaps and group them according to strand/learning area, providing links to the relevant intervention resources. Shine Interventions supplies each learner's raw score alongside the grouping to allow for teacher judgement.

Progress Quiz Reports* show how learners find certain strands after your interventions and enable you to track their progress during their interventions.

Effectively plug knowledge gaps

Printable learner worksheets target areas for improvement, address misconceptions and plug knowledge gaps.

Reading Skills and GPS interventions offer a range of original fiction and non-fiction texts to engage learners. An optional Online Modelling Responses Software version is also available with interactive answering and supporting audio for learners who struggle to engage with text.

Maths interventions feature a range of focused, hands-on activities to contextualise key learning areas with fun maths problems. Quizzes at the end of each intervention quickly measure understanding and help evidence impact.

With detailed teaching support

Prepare, Do, Review documents for each intervention includes suggested timings, teaching tips, potential stumbling blocks and a summary of skills being targeted.
Accompanying Teaching Notes provide step-by-step guidance to steer discussions, answer questions and reflect on learning. This supports successful delivery from all staff members, regardless of subject knowledge.
Walkthrough Videos for teachers and learners in Shine ART and Shine AMT ensure everyone knows their learning objectives.

What teachers are saying...

  • Shine has reduced workload by providing high quality interventions... The ‘so what next’ element is excellent: support and resources to move attainment forward and close gaps.
    Deputy CEO
    Diocese Sheffield Academies Trust (DSAT)
  • The TAs reported that the biggest thing is seeing the children suddenly just ‘get it’. There’s nothing that beats being in a lesson and watching a child suddenly being able to do something they couldn’t do before.
    Acting Headteacher
St Barnabas’ CE First and Middle School
  • Shine helps us to really target interventions afterwards without it taking a lot of our time to analyse the data.
    Headteacher
St Mary and St Margaret’s C of E Primary
  • Due to the well-organised, clear and consistent lesson plans, all staff members are confident to use them, and they save time on planning and looking for resources which could be less effective.
    Philippa Cousins, Headteacher
Rossington St Michael’s CE Primary School
  • All teachers commented positively on the intervention resources being what they needed and children found the interventions engaging... We would 100% recommend Shine to other schools.
    Matt Doody, Deputy Headteacher
    Meridian Community Primary School
